You are very kind, The Rebel, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. At a very difficult time for me, you have lifted my spirits. A few kind people on the forum have expressed appreciation for what I do.
Blessings and peace, dear friend.

on a previous post mamacita29 pointed up the low quality of new jw converts.. is the quality falling even more as the society use lower than low meeting, talks, broadcasts etc.. when i was active initially the organisation and standards seemed totally different today.
i have seen hard working intelligent elders fall by death or exhaustion.
the younger generation that came along never really grasped responsibility hence shortage of good elders, never mind the watered down to almost nothing quality of meetings.
Well stated, Rip!

Thank you, prologos, for answering my question so thoroughly! What an experience regarding what you paid for a single loaf of bread. I eat lots of bread and I never waste a bit.
Gratefully,
CC
Why not slices of bread, rather than spoil those half loaves? Additionally, he states that the bread is pure, but doesn't adding "leaven" to bread dough make it rise? So, wouldn't the bread he uses be symbolically tainted?
Thoughts?

there are a couple of schools of thought on this.
some doctors recommend postponing surgery others recommend laparascopic surgery, etc.
how about local anesthesia, complications during and after surgery and other concerns.
Greetings, once again, Fisherman:
i propose that we make pintrest accounts and start openly challenging this crap.. .
seriously.... any suggestions?
this crap cannot be left unchallenged.

Well-designed board games have been shown to be quite helpful in teaching, especially for kids, because the learning takes place as a side consequence of the actual playing, which is mainly for fun. This Jehovah's Witnesses board game, called the House to House Board Game, is fun, family oriented, and geared toward the interactive learning of Bible Scriptures. It encourages the family to join in an activity to promote bonding while helping them better understand God's Word.

You're welcome, Fisherman.
I am unable to answer that question other than what was done for me. Due to my then respiratory illness, they went for spinal rather than local anesthesia. I regretted that later because it messed up my plumbing for days afterwards. As I understood my situation, however, there was no choice in the matter.
Sorry I'm not sufficiently schooled in this. It was so long ago. Now, I do research before I say "yes" to anything medical. That's another entire chapter of my life.
Take care.

Greetings, Fisherman:
Between 12 and 15 years ago, I had both right and left hernia repairs. Absolutely necessary. A couple years ago, I began suffering extreme abdominal pain on the left side. It was diagnosed as nerve entrapment, i.e., a nerve had become entrapped in the mesh.
I was told that if I couldn't live with the intermittent pain, I could have a redo. That, of itself, poses difficulties. There's always risk. The pain has become so rare now that I am just "living with it."
Hope it goes well for the person in question. BTW, I'm sure there have been strides made in surgical procedure since my adventures (they were done a couple years apart).
Best regards.

Many of us were of the mindset that even a tiny bit of Kingdom Good News -- in the form of a printed message -- was the end-all, cure-all for what ails humankind. Sister Kraker, who worked in subscriptions, held up a yellow Awake! form and said to me that she viewed each one of these slips as the means to save a life.
Why, just our being recognized as Jehovah's people could have advantageous effect, so I truly believed. Why feed, clothe, house a prospective recruit when the Good News itself will fill the void now and forevermore? Not to say that some JWs were totally oblivious to the physical needs of others. That simply was not the focus of our ministry.
Now, I want to apologize to all the people I witnessed to, especially those who became believers.
